Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. of Japan recently said that from now on to 2015, Yokohama will invest $118million in the plant about 40 miles away from Manila, increasing the capacity of the plant by 25% and producing 12.5 million passenger tires and light truck tires every year. The plant is now operated by Yokohama tire (Philippines) company. Yokohama tire factory in the Philippines opened in 1996 and can manufacture 18 inch tires. This expansion will enable the factory to produce 20 inch tires. 5.
